Putting It All Together
Information on the parts and content of the EPPP are below to help get you started. We will address these components while creating your individualized study plan.
EPPP Part-1
The EPPP Part-1 consists of 225 multiple-choice questions, 175 of which are scored (50 questions are practice items and are not scored). Each individual has 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete the exam. In order to pass the EPPP Part-1, a scaled score of 500 (approximately 70%) is needed, however there is some variability across states (e.g., in New York a 75% is needed).
EPPP Part-2
The EPPP Part-2 is a skills-based test containing 170 items, 130 of which are scored. In both the EPPP Part-1 and Part-2 the experimental questions are not explicitly identified, therefore it is wise to answer each question to the best of your ability.
